Inspirational Tutorial: Boxes for stunning Christmas cards

Do you make gift sets of cards as gifts at all? Or gift boxes to deliver your cards in instead of envelopes? They make great presents, easily create cards for different occasions with this tutorial from Julie by changing the embossing folder and sentiment die you use!

Directions:

Step 1: Using Centura Pearl Card Make a 6 x 6” Card Base and cut a  5 ¾” x 5 ¼” square with silver mirri card.

Step 2: Cut a 5 ½”  x 5 ½” square with centura pearl and using Nordic embossing folder Diamond Snowflake emboss the card and adhere it to the mirri card.

Step 3:  Add some double sided tape to the back so you can add a strip of ribbon, use wet glue and adhere to card front.

Step 4: Die cut  the Merry Christmas Die  with mirri card and adhere it with tacky glue to the card.

Step 5:  Make a bow and add to the ribbon.
Now to make the box:

Step 1: Cut two pieces of centural pearl 8 ½” x 8 ½” square and score 1” on each side using the big score, using base side and lid side. Then cut a slit on two ends and add some wet glue to all four flaps. Fold all flaps in and adhere to box use pegs or paperclips to hold it until it’s dry.

Step 2: While the box is drying cut a 6 x 6” piece of mirri card and a 5 ¾” x 5 ¾” square of card and emboss and add ribbon as before . Adhere to the box lid and cut a Merry Christmas in mirri  card to the lid too. All you need to do now is make a bow and adhere it to the lid too.
