Watch Along Wednesday - flower forming with Bev Rochester

Hello everyone and welcome back to a super special edition of the Watch Along Wednesday series! You know how these normally go – we introduce the post, you watch David’s video and check out the shopping list, but for today’s post, we’re going a little bit wild. We’ve got a guest video from the wonderful Bev Rochester as she demos the Flower Forming Foam!

If you haven’t heard of Bev before, let us tell you a little bit more. She’s a brilliant crafter who specialises in working with various brands of flower forming foam products, so we were keen to get her stamp of approval on our range. We invited her to CCHQ, where she put together this brilliant magic hands video for us!

Take a look to see an in-depth step-by-step on how to use our Flower Forming Foam to create a stunning closed cup peony flower.

To begin with, you will need to die-cut six petals in order to finish with that beautiful, layered flower, and this can be done with the included die sets and your die-cutting machine. With Peony, Clover or Lily to choose from, you’ll be creating flower-filled gardens on all of your projects!

Pair these flowers up with leaves formed from the Leaves and Vines Die, or mat and layer your projects up with the Traditional Doily and Border Die. Each work together to complement and contrast to build the most exquisite and elegant looks possible. You could have so much fun with mixing and matching to experiment!

Not only are there dies to help you cut precise petals, there are also sheets of foam in various colours, realistic stamens for the centres and unique tools to add exciting effects to the finished flowers. There’s a whole world of possibilities ahead of you with this collection!

Once you’ve got the hang of the technique, you’ll be creating pretty projects like these.

We hope that you’ve enjoyed this exciting installment of Watch Along Wednesday as much as we have! We loved seeing how Bev put together her flower – she made it look so easy. Make sure you stick around until next week, where David will be showing us all how to make a festive tea light using the Star of Wonder Create-a-Card! In the meantime, make sure you share your Flower Forming Foam creations with us on social, using the #WatchAlongWed hashtag!
