Welcome back to another fantastic installment of our Watch Along Wednesday series! In today’s post, we’re getting arty with the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Reinkers and showing you just how great they are for creating beautiful backgrounds. With 216 shades to choose from, there’s bound to be a handful that suit your projects!
The Alcohol Reinkers are one of the most versatile products that have been released from Spectrum Noir, and there are a variety of ways that they can be used to create gorgeous artwork. However, in today’s video, David Falcon uses his Reinkers and a heat tool to create fun splattered effects.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, make sure you take a look at the video below and keep reading to find out more about these fabulous art goodies!
How cool is David’s technique? He uses the droppers included with each Reinker to add splashes of colour across the stamping card, before blowing the drips across the page with a heat tool. The final look is so unique and it’s a technique that would give different results every time.
Not only are the Reinkers perfect for creating artwork on card, they can also be used on glass, plastic, acetate, wood, textiles and so much more for permanent effects! It can be dripped, spritzed, sponged, rolled or even painted on – just let your creativity go wild.
While these little bottles are brilliant for creating artwork, they’re also perfect for re-filling your dried up Spectrum Noir markers. As we mentioned before, there are 216 shades in total, matching the 216 shades of original Spectrum Noir markers, so you can easily revive any colour. This makes them great for the environment and your wallet! Each bottle is filled with 30ml of ink, but a little goes a long way, so you’ll have plenty to keep you going.
