Meet Lynne Goldsworthy -the creative behind our new quilting templates

We’ve teamed up with renowned quilter, Lynne Goldsworthy to create a new collection of Threaders Acrylic Templates.
Quilt designer and author, Lynne has designed this range of quilting templates exclusively for Threaders. Each set includes a selection of templates to cut a beautiful and accurate pattern for patchwork and quilting, plus instructions to create three projects!
Lynne is a friend and colleague of Jo Avery and Karen Lewis, who have designed previous quilting collections with us.
So, let’s get to know Lynne – our newest crafting partner!
Who is Lynne Goldsworthy?
Quilt designer and author, Lynne Goldsworthy has been sewing since her childhood and quilting for over 30 years.
Her love of quilting started back in the 80s on a trip to Washington. Dropping into a shopping mall on the way back to the airport she fell in love with the American quilts on show there. She has been designing and making quilts ever since!
Lynne forms one third of The Thread House alongside fellow quilters, Jo Avery and Karen Lewis. The Thread House provides both physical and virtual retreats as well as hosting an annual block of the month club.
Quilting around the world
Lynne has designed for fabric companies and taught at quilting events around the world, as well as running retreats in the UK.
She regularly contributes to Today’s Quilter and Love Patchwork and Quilting magazines. And has co-authored several books including 500 Quilt Blocks and the Fat Quarterly Colour Workshop and sole author of Quick and Easy quilts.
The Lynne Goldsworthy Acrylic Templates Collection
The Lynne Goldsworth Acrylic Template Collection from Threaders is a collection of three template sets to create stunning quilts, cushions home decor projects and more.
Each bespoke set includes a selection of templates that cut accurate pieces so you can make patchwork perfection look easy!
Are they easy to use?
Yes! It’s so easy to get started straight away. Simply choose your fabric, cut out your shapes using a 25mm or 45mm rotary cutter, and follow the instruction booklet to stitch them together!
Each template features a ¼” seam allowance to take all the hard work out of cutting and calculating and notched corners for accurate piecing.
You’ll also receive easy-to-follow instructions to guide though using the templates to create three home decor projects!
Kaleidoscope Star
The Kaleidoscope Star set includes five templates to create a beautiful star design. Plus instructions will show you how to use the templates to create a stunning cushion, quilt, and wall hanging!
Wheel of Mystery
The Wheel of Mystery set includes four templates to create a beautiful geometric circle design. Plus, instructions will show you how to use the templates to create a stunning cushion, quilt, and bed runner!
Hunter’s Star
The Hunters Star set includes four templates to create a beautiful star pattern. Plus, instructions will show you how to use the templates to create a stunning sewing machine cover, quilt, and project binder!
As you can see, each set includes step-by-step instructions to help you create three beautiful quilted projects! But there’s nothing to stop you using the any of the designs to craft whatever you fancy – let your creativity lead the way!
