Explore extraordinary colour and glistening multi-toned effects with Duet ColourBloom Inkpads with Shimmer.

Each innovative inkpad holds a carefully curated colour combination with the added effect of shimmer, just apply water and watch as the shades separate and bloom before your eyes. Or, dry with a heat tool before applying water for a strong colour contrast.

Blend onto watercolour card and mist, flick and brush water to create unique glittering colour-washed and ombre effects or stencilled and stamped designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I start with colouring pencils, markers or watercolours?

Colouring pencils are a great starting point for detail and shading, alcohol markers offer smooth blends, and watercolours create soft washes.

What’s the difference between alcohol markers and water-based markers?

Alcohol markers use alcohol-based ink for smooth, blended colour. Water-based markers use water-based ink, these can be blended with a damp brush for watercolour effects.

What type of paper should I use for my chosen colouring materials?

Use smooth marker paper or card for alcohol markers, lightly textured paper for colouring pencils and watercolour paper for painting or blending with water.

How do I blend colours and add shading to my colouring?

Start with lighter shades and gradually layer darker tones to create depth and shadows. Soften the transitions where your shades meet, keeping some areas lighter for contrast.

How do I stop my stamped outlines from smudging when I colour them?

Use alcohol-proof stamping ink with alcohol markers and waterproof stamping ink with watercolours. Allow your stamped image to dry fully before adding colour.
