Retro Vacay - Suitcase Metal Die Set

Die cutting uses a machine and metal dies to cut shapes, letters and detailed designs from paper, card and other materials (depending on the machine). The machine applies pressure to create neat, consistent cuts without scissors.

A die is a reusable metal shape with a cutting edge, similar to a cookie cutter. You’ll need a compatible die-cutting machine to press it through your paper or card.

Paper and card are popular choices, but our multi craft/multimedia dies can also cut materials such as fabric, thin cork and craft foam. Always check which materials your die and machine are designed to cut.

Check that the die fits within your machine’s cutting area and that the die type is compatible.

A “sandwich” is the layered combination of your die, material and cutting plates that goes through the machine. The plates and order needed vary, so always follow the recommended combination in your machine’s instructions.
